We were finally able to get the true feel of an American 4th of July last Sunday. Rob has a guy in his MBA program that is a member and working for the Coast Guard. His name is Steve Detton. He has a beautiful family and a house that looks like it belongs on the mainland. His wife, Shelly, is a great cook and artist, and their kids, Hyrum, Eliza, and Hazel, are cute and have a lot of energy. They've invited us over to their home a few times for dinner and it's always been a great occasion. On Sunday we had a good old fashioned barbeque, complete with hotdogs, hamburgers, watermelon, and brownies with ice cream. It was a tasty memory that made us feel like we were back in Utah.

Stef,
Can't wait to see you and Rob. Fun pictures. You will be so glad you have them when you are freezing somewhere in China.
Could you please bring those board shorts for Matt?
Hey hey! Did you say you were going to be in SLC?? When? Well, I think you should come play some lax at sugerhouse park tonight and/or tomorrow 6-8. Wa da ya say??
Steph! We miss you folks! When do you leave to China? If you want to see a metal mouth picture, I would have to send that to you separately in an email. I'm actually not sure if I can find one...probably threw them all out :) Hope all is well and hope to keep in touch lady!!
so aren't you in China now? And i think you are ignoring me... :)
HOoray for China. What fun adventures. Sorry we didnt see each other before we both took off. Stay away from the scorpions on a stick, I dont care if the Chinese call them a delicacy.
We need an update! How are you surviving in China?! Miss you guys!
